FOOD / Kitchen
Yes, in the B&B wing there is a guest kitchen that our guests are welcome to use for their own cooking. During the morning hours the kitchen is used for the B&B’s breakfast preparations and serving – during that time only the staff can use the kitchen. (The apartments have their own small kitchen, which is fully equipped for cooking)
Breakfast is included when booking one of our rooms in the B&B wing. If you rent one of our apartments you can choose to order our breakfast (when breakfast is offered in season), or choose to fix your own in the apartment’s kitchen.
Our breakfast is served as a delicious buffet. We serve coffee, tea, milk and juice. Homemade breakfast rolls and fresh bread, butter, marmalades, cheese, ham, vegetables and yogurt / file with muesli, cereals and fruit.
Notify us in advance and we will provide gluten / lactose-free alternatives!
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room in the B&B wing between 8:00 – 9:00 (contact us if you need breakfast earlier)
Yes, you can order our lunch pincic packages! These contain a filling sandwiches, coffee / tea (thermos available to borrow), fruit and a cookie.
In the nearby villages Ljungbyhed and Röstånga, both about 5 km from our guest house, there are grocery stores with good opening hours.
Our B&B guests can enjoy our afternoon “fika” ie coffee / tea / lemonade and homebaked cake or pie in when they check in or get back from a hike or the day’s adventures. The “fika” is served in the breakfast room at three o’clock.
We have a number of bbq:s that our guests are welcome to borrow for grilling on our lovely patio. If you bring your own charcoal / briquettes and clean the grill after use, you can borrow them free of charge.
It is also possible to rent a bbq prepared with charcoal / briquettes and lighter fluid for 100 sec.
We do not have a restaurant or offer dinner service at the guest house. On the other hand, you can pre-order dinner via catering from the nearby restaurant in the national park, “Skäralids restaurant”. There are also some places nearby who sell takeaway food (Thai food, pizza and vegetarian bowls)
There is a guest kitchen available for your own cooking, and there are many lovely farm shops in the area where you can buy locally produced ingredients of best quality for your meal.

booking / policy for cancellations
Pets
Yes, well behaved dogs and pets are welcome to stay with us. However, it is important that you announce that you have a dog / pet with you when you make your reservation, since animals are not allowed in all rooms. On our farm we have dogs, cats, goats and chickens, so it is important that your dogs are kept leashed and supervised during their stay.
We have some rooms in the B&B wing where pets are never allowed. Pets are not allowed in common areas such as the kitchen, the breakfast room either.
On the farm, however, there are cats, dogs, goats and chickens, so if you are very sensitive, the overall environment might be a bit challenging.
how to get here
It is possible and easy to take public transport to get here. Skånetrafiken’s bus 518 stops at “Skäralid National Park” which is the nearest stop. From there it is about a 10 minutes / 1 km walk. There is a shortcut from the bus stop to get up here. (See map with directions for the shortcut)
Bus 518 runs the between Klippan – Stehag, both towns have train stations to which you take the local train (can be booked via SJ)
The Skåneleden trail “Ridge to ridge” passes through the Söderåsen National Park and Skäralid, and from there it is just a kilometer to walk up to the guest house.. Click here to find directions for a shortcut from Skäralid to Pensionat Söderåsen
ACCESSIBILITY
All guest rooms and apartments are on the ground floor and there is a ramp up to the entrance, so there are no challenging stairs in the building. However, the rooms are quite small and therefore there is not much room for maneuvering a wheelchair in the guests rooms. The garden consists mainly of lawns and the courtyard is covered with a single, so the groundwork is varied and not hard.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility – we will be happy to help!
